Banh Xeo Bar is what happens when Tania Ho’s heritage meets Ben Sinfield’s skills as a former stuntman at two legendary Sydney restaurants, Ester and Fred’s. The two come together to create not only perfect Bánh xèo which literally means “sizzling pancake” (usually stuffed with pork, prawn, bean sprouts and onion), but also menu full of forward thinking, modern Vietnamese dishes together with some traditional crowd pleasers.

A testament to their success, taking out the TimeOut 2018 best cheap eat award, Initially they tested out their produce and demand through market stalls around the Eastern suburbs. Now, Tania and Ben have a crisp and clean tiled Brick and Mortar shop at The Cannery Rosebery, which is a visual treat for all involved. If you haven’t been, well it’s a good thing the pair are heading to The Dolphin Wine Room for a snack filled night coupled with some fine drinks to compliment them.
