A Wine Tasting & Party featuring wines from Southern Italy

We’re heading to Southern Italy as the weather heats up in Surry Hills.
It’s time to mix things up again. Why? Because it’s the silly season AND more importantly our resident Wine Director Shun Eto has just come back from Sicily and has brought some of his favourite Southern Italian wines with him. Southern Italy being a champion of minimal intervention wine that we’ve come to love here.
First Sunday of December, we’ll be exploring everything Southern Italy has to offer – including snacks all day long by Chefs Danny Corbett & Aldo Lara including Fried Naples pizza and zucchini flowers and a very special Rigatoni Alla Norma.
Be sure to get in early for a big long lunch before we mix things up with wine tasting kicking off from 2-4pm. Spend a few hours with Shun Eto & Sommelier Jack Steer as they talk you through Sicilian Winemaker Frank Cornelissen’s wines & explore how the Sicilians eat and drink. One long table, food shared down the middle, with a paired wine tasting. Reservations essential and limited.

Spend a few hours with Sommeliers Shun Eto & Jack Steer as they walk you through Sicilian Winemaker Frank Cornelissen’s wines & explore how the Sicilians eat and drink. Menu by Chefs Danny Corbett & Aldo Lara shared down the middle of one long table, with a wine tasting.
Frank Cornelissen is undoubtedly one of the rockstars of the natural wine scene. From the foothills of Mount Etna, his wines are full of volcanic minerality and a strong sense of place. From the glouglou favourite ‘Susucaru’ to the more serious Munjebel wines, his wines have earned him a loyal cult following from natural wine lovers and fine wine critics alike.
