Black Sunday – The Athletes of Newtown are Coming.
Strap in your cleats and your muscle tape because Mike Bennie is bringing his finest female talent, the legendary Lou from the Team P&V Newtown Athletic Club from the Inner-West to far west Bondi (Surry Hills). Mike Bennie will be putting them through the paces, training them the best way he knows how; 10-yard stares, straight-arm pours, high/low jumps, tin-shotgunning and the 100 oyster speed-shucking sprint, so don’t forget a solid warm-up stretch before you tackle the rigorous snacking and sipping activities if you want to hang with the best.
What is P&V? Mike decided he wanted a space that would also involve their community in the local area, with various collaborations and inputs from friends and proximate businesses. A bottle shop for the neighbourhood by the neighbourhood.
Team P&V will be sprinting from Newtown with a bunch of great wines and snacks to share with you for a marathon Delfino Aperitivo from 5pm til close (10pm), so if you think you can go the distance, we’ll see you at the finish line. The question is, will slow and steady win the race?
